Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate my running pace?
Divide your finish time by the distance. For example 50:00 over 10 km is 5:00 per km. Enter any two of distance, time and pace above and the calculator fills in the third.
How do I convert min/km to min/mile?
Multiply the pace per kilometre by 1.609. A 5:00/km pace is 8:03/mile. The calculator shows both units at once, plus speed in km/h and mph.
What pace do I need for a sub-4 marathon?
5:41 per km (9:09 per mile) gives 3:59:48. In practice aim slightly faster — GPS distance usually reads long because you rarely run the perfect racing line.
What pace is a 2-hour half marathon?
5:41 per km (9:09 per mile) — the same pace as a 4-hour marathon, because the half is exactly half the distance.
